Managing Skills

Install, update, and organize skills in CRHQ — keep your agents equipped with the right capabilities.

Skills are managed in Settings → Skills. From here you can browse, search, install, update, and configure all skills on your instance.

Browsing Skills

The Skills page shows all installed skills with:

  • Name and description
  • Version number
  • Source — System (from Hub) or Custom (locally created)
  • Status — Active, inactive, or locked
  • Assigned agents — Which agents use this skill

Use the search bar to find skills by name or keyword.

Installing from Hub

System skills come from CRHQ Hub and are installed automatically. To check for updates:

  1. Click Check for Updates at the top of the Skills page
  2. New or updated skills appear with an update indicator
  3. Click Update to install the latest version, or use Update All for batch updates

Skill Details

Click any skill to see its full details:

  • Content — The complete instructions (markdown)
  • Metadata — Name, description, version, tags
  • Version History — All previous versions with timestamps
  • Agents — Which agents have this skill assigned

Editing Skills

Custom skills can be edited directly:

  1. Click the skill
  2. Modify the content or metadata
  3. Save — a new version is created automatically

Info: System skills from CRHQ Hub cannot be edited directly. To customize a system skill, create a custom copy and modify that instead.

Locking Skills

You can lock a skill to prevent accidental edits. Locked skills show a lock icon and require unlocking before changes can be made.

Deleting Skills

To remove a custom skill:

  1. Ensure no agents are using it (remove assignments first)
  2. Click Delete in the skill details
  3. Confirm the deletion

System skills cannot be deleted — they're managed by CRHQ Hub.
