CRHQ supports strong security measures to protect your account and data.
Changing Your Password
- Go to Account → Security
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm your new password
- Click Update Password
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Add an extra layer of security with TOTP-based two-factor authentication.
Enabling 2FA
- Go to Account → Security
- Click Enable 2FA
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.)
- Or manually enter the setup key shown below the QR code
- Enter the 6-digit code from your app to verify
- Save your backup codes — download or copy them to a secure location
Using 2FA
After enabling, you'll need to enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app every time you log in, in addition to your password.
Backup Codes
When you enable 2FA, you receive one-time backup codes. These are for emergency access if you lose your authenticator device.
- Each code can only be used once
- Download or copy them immediately — they won't be shown again
- Store them securely (password manager, printed in a safe location)
Warning: If you lose your authenticator device AND your backup codes, you'll need to contact your CRHQ administrator to regain access.
Disabling 2FA
- Go to Account → Security
- Click Disable 2FA
- Enter your current password to confirm
- 2FA is removed — login requires only password
