Security & 2FA

Protect your CRHQ account with password management and two-factor authentication (TOTP).

CRHQ supports strong security measures to protect your account and data.

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to Account → Security
  2. Enter your current password
  3. Enter and confirm your new password
  4. Click Update Password

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security with TOTP-based two-factor authentication.

Enabling 2FA

  1. Go to Account → Security
  2. Click Enable 2FA
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.)
  4. Or manually enter the setup key shown below the QR code
  5. Enter the 6-digit code from your app to verify
  6. Save your backup codes — download or copy them to a secure location

Using 2FA

After enabling, you'll need to enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app every time you log in, in addition to your password.

Backup Codes

When you enable 2FA, you receive one-time backup codes. These are for emergency access if you lose your authenticator device.

  • Each code can only be used once
  • Download or copy them immediately — they won't be shown again
  • Store them securely (password manager, printed in a safe location)

Warning: If you lose your authenticator device AND your backup codes, you'll need to contact your CRHQ administrator to regain access.

Disabling 2FA

  1. Go to Account → Security
  2. Click Disable 2FA
  3. Enter your current password to confirm
  4. 2FA is removed — login requires only password
